“Learning through books as well as experience” - is one of the core mottos of members of the University of Asia Pacific Literary Club. In accordance to that – 25 members of this club have spent a day in travelling and discovering the essence of beauty and historicity of Old Dhaka on July 22, 2017.

Starting their journey in the morning, they travelled through Baldha Garden, Ahsan Manzil, Jagannath University, Bahadur Shah Park, bank of Buriganga river, Lalbagh Fort and tasted delicious street foods along with a lunch in the famous Royal Hotel and Restaurant of Lalbagh. After that, they had a joyful poetry and musical session at TSC, Dhaka University for an hour just before calling it a day at 7 pm. Adviser of the Club, Mr Shazed Ul Hoq Khan Abir, Lecturer, Department of English accompanied them throughout the tour.

Reviving the historical background of the city they are living in is something that they consider as the most important learning outcome of the tour. Also, this tour worked as a great icebreaking session among the club members from various departments and semesters. They mingled with each other and shared their creative ideas regarding upcoming activities of the club.
